Introducing Leah A. Henry!
“Each morning when we wake up, we have two choices: go back to sleep and keep dreaming, or wake up and chase those dreams.“
My name is Leah A. Henry and I’m a multimedia producer and on air personality. My time at Howard University built a strong foundation for where I’m at in my career. I graduated from the Mecca in 2016. Four months after graduated, I headed to WJLA-TV in Washington D.C. where I became an associate producer for “Let’s Talk Live” on NewsChannel 8.After a year I began filling into the 9 am hour of “Good Morning Washington.” I’ve been able to write, produce, coordinate social media, and book segments for LTL and Good Morning Washington. My time at WJLA has gave me the opportunity to Field produce for several live shots like multiple elections and reporter stories. My role as booking producer also gave me the role of creating engaging games and segments for our guests.
While I love TV my heart is equally split with my love for radio.I was honored to have a segment on WKYS 93.9’s (Washington D.C.-Radio One) morning show called “Leah’s Lemonade.” I dished my opinion of trending topics, pop culture, and celebrity news. After 3 years of being a member of the WJLA team, I left to pursue radio full time. I’ve been able to continue my love for entertainment and radio as the executive producer and on air talent of a syndicated show based in Washington D.C.
In November of 2020 I left that show but my personal brand grew tremendously! Leah’s Lemonade show and interviews blew UP! From that transition I expanded my entertainment corresponding for various outlets. You can Catch me on Fox 5 DC dishing on “Good Day DC” and “The Mix” on Fox Soul. I LOVE interviews, a couple of mine have gone viral but who’s counting right? Some of her interviews have gone viral and have been picked up by various outlets like TMZ, Entertainment Tonight, The Daily Mail, The Shaderoom, and more. I was also featured on Seasons 4 and 5 of the “Real Housewives of Potomac” for my entertainment report on one of the cast members. My long term goal is to be an entertainment correspondent, talk show host, and more importantly a media mogul! Grab A Cup, Throw It Back, and Sip On All of That!
